Digital Fundraising Campaign
Goal: Increase fundraising revenue for a nonprofit through a dynamic digital marketing strategy and creative storytelling campaign to drive donors to donate.
We worked with a 15-year-old nonprofit brand in Portland, Oregon, with the mission of serving individuals with disabilities. In 2020, this nonprofit missed many of its typical fundraising opportunities due to the pandemic. Without the resources to host a virtual event, we optimized their digital presence, widening their audience in the virtual world.
Objectives:
$150,000 fundraising goal (30-day campaign)
Increase engagement across Facebook, Instagram & LinkedIn by 20%
Increase likes and following on Facebook & Instagram by 20%
Campaign Elements:
Email marketing strategy to existing email lists (about 3,000 contacts). Included weekly emails throughout the campaign with stories, updates, and contest info.
6 videos produced for the campaign webpage and edited to fit all social platforms
2-3 organic social media posts throughout all platforms per week
4-5 story posts, questions, polls, and facts all to increase engagement per week
Weekly door prizes and social media contests
Storytelling throughout each platform, sharing the impact of the organization through a challenging year
Letter to donors sharing brand stories and providing options to give
Results & Deliverables:
Achieved the fundraising goal by 108%, raising a total of $162,651 for the organization.
Increased engagement by 25.6% on Instagram through the use of stories, IGTV video posts, polls, questions, and comments.
Increased Facebook reach by 33.2% through the use of stories, video posts, and engaging content.
Increased likes and follows on Facebook and Instagram by 23%.
Maintained a consistent email open rate of 40-43% (Industry standard is 15-25%) and a click-through rate of 12% (average is 2-5%)
Arranged media coverage on local news outlets and provided the founder with talking points for an interview which aired on two segments at different times of the day.
